    Mammography /XRay/BMD

    Job Description:

    *Operates mammography unit to produce images of the breasts for diagnostic purposes under direction of a physician. Explains procedure to patient, positions and immobilizes patient’s breast in unit and observe during scan.

    *Greets the patient, explains the forthcoming test, reviews the requisition, confirms the accuracy of the screening form, generally prepares him/her for the examination, and completes the patient medical history form.

    *Performs a full range of mammography technologist duties including screening and diagnostic imaging, needle localizations, and Stereotactic procedures.

    *Performs breast imaging procedures.

    *Corroborates patient’s clinical history with procedure in assuring information is documented in accordance with quality standards.

    *Takes X-ray exposures of patient following protocol for intensity of radiation and time of exposure.

    *Trained to perform bone mineral density exams and documents the interpretation of test results

    *Prepares patient for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain co-operation, and minimize anxiety.

    *Operates equipment in such a way as to produce the highest possible quality diagnostic result with a minimum level of discomfort to the patient.

    *Evaluates mammograms or other images for technical quality and assures that proper identification is recorded.

    *Maintains a Q.A. Manual which includes a list of parameters and the frequency they should be monitored as well as a description of protocol used for monitoring each parameter.

    Qualifications

    *Must be ARRT Certified in Mammography

    *An advanced level of technical knowledge and skill gained through continuing education and work experience. Also, some degree of supervisory and administrative knowledge and work experience is preferred.

    *Is expected to further his or her knowledge and competence by reading, attending courses, and conferences.

    *Specialized training in mammographic technology.

    Hours of Work

    The candidate should be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

    MRI Technologist

    JOB SUMMARY

    Performs diagnostic imaging magnetic resonance imaging procedures independently. These procedures involve the preparation and administration of contrast to patients. All routine duties are performed in accordance with Company policies, procedures and protocols with all problems and complications reported to the Charge MRI Technologist and/or the Managing Director. We use state-of-the-art technology.

    PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Greets the patient, explains the forthcoming test, reviews the requisition, and completes the pertinent medical history form.
    • Prepares contrast to be administered to individual patients.
    • Observes the patient during the diagnostic procedure from the control room and summons medical aid when necessary.
    • Operates equipment (MRI machines) in such a way as to produce the desired highest possible quality diagnostic result with a minimum of discomfort to the patient.
    • Follows MRI safety regulations and guidelines so as to minimize risk to other members of the staff and patients.
    • Assist in the research and development activities of senior members of the facility.
    • Assists in planning the Quality Assurance programme and performs the Quality Control testing.
    • Maintains and conforms with all applicable considerations for safety standards and regulations.

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

    Successful completion of a recognized MRI diploma / degree program.

    Must be ARRT Certified

    WORK HOURS

    40 hours per week with variable start time. Will be required to work days, evenings, and weekends according to the time schedules that meet the requirements of the facility.

    Ultrasound Technologist

    Job Description:

    1. Greets the patient, explains the forthcoming test, positions the patient and generally prepares him/her for the examination.

    2. Observes the patient during the diagnostic procedure, making note of any symptoms or changes in vital signs and summons medical aid when necessary.

    3. Operates equipment ensuring patient safety and producing the best possible images for proper diagnosis.

    4. Receives instruction from medical members of the facility in all aspects of his/her work and its theoretical and clinical basis.

    5. Is expected to further his/her knowledge and competence by reading, attending courses and conferences and obtaining CME credits.
    6. Instructs or aids the patient onto the examination table safely and explains, as necessary, positioning, operating characteristics of the equipment, time to complete the examination, etc.

    Requirements:
    Candidates must be A.R.D.M.S. or C.A.R.D.U.P certified or eligible

    CT/Xray Technologist

    Job Purpose

    Operates computed tomography equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes under direction of physician. Explains procedure to patient, positions and immobilizes patient on exam table, and observes during scan.

    1. Performs CT procedures in accordance with established standards, procedures, and protocols.

    2. Patient care responsibilities include venipuncture, care of IV’s, chest tubes, oxygen, and catheters when applicable.

    3. Completes the pertinent medical history form.

    4. Greets patient, confirms image to be taken, explains procedure to patient, and is sensitive to patient’s anxiety about procedure.

    5. Prepares patient information files showing patients name, date of CT examination, referring physician, and nature of examination.

    6. Reviews the requisition and confirms the accuracy of the screening form.

    7. Generally prepares the patient for the examination, positions patient on examination table, and monitors patient’s condition during examination.

    8. Prepares contrast to be administered to individual patients and checks that it is appropriate to the forthcoming test and specifically intended for the particular patient. This is done according to established protocols and/or Radiologist orders.

    9. Performs intravenous contrast injections as required.

    10. Assists radiologists in imaging procedures by obtaining appropriate equipment, determining patient position, and etc.

    11. Performs computer generated, post-processing, and quantitative analysis including recording of results.

    Qualifications

    Certification with ARRT.

    *An advanced level of technical knowledge and skill gained through continuing education and work experience. Also, some degree of supervisory and administrative knowledge and work experience is preferred.

    *Is expected to further his or her knowledge and competence by reading, attending courses, and conferences.

    *Specialized training in computed technology.

    *Certificate in CPR and First-Aid.

    Hours of Work

    The candidate should be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

    Nuclear Technologist

    PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Performs diagnostic imaging nuclear medicine procedures independently.  These procedures involve the preparation and/or assay and administration of radioactive materials (radiopharmaceuticals) to patients and/or addition of radioactive material to the patient’s blood sample or blood component for Invitro labelling.  All routine duties are performed in accordance with the facility’s policies and protocols with all problems and complications reported to the Senior Technologist and/or the Managing Director.  Also, primarily responsible for stress testing all Nuclear Cardiology patients requiring an exercise Cardiolite study or exercise radionuclide angiogram (MUGX) under the supervision of a physician.

    Qualifications:

    Previous completion of a recognized course in Nuclear Medicine and attainment of NMTCB.
